Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-driven Parts Associate to join our team at Butler Machinery Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for greeting customers, fulfilling parts orders, maintaining inventory and warehousing standards, and collaborating with colleagues at the Corporate Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure and fulfill customer and service department orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Organize and maintain the stocking and receiving of a variety of machinery parts, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient storage.
  • Become proficient in online supplier parts systems to look up and order parts, ensuring seamless communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop knowledge of existing product lines and service standards, providing expert advice to customers and colleagues.
  • Assist in collecting data necessary for efficient inventory management, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain close, positive working relationships with service and sales departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety standards and protocols.
  • Recognize and resolve difficult customer situations, escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Prioritize proper warehouse management, including bin locations, incoming/outgoing freight, and inventory control.
  • Understand and adapt to a dynamic work schedule, including overtime and Saturday shifts, as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer-based spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software, ensuring seamless communication and data management.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in parts sales in a retail environment is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of agriculture and construction equipment parts is preferred but not required.
  • Detail-oriented and self-driven, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Commitment to providing an excellent customer experience, with a focus on building strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced, diverse environment, with a focus on adaptability and teamwork.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Proficient with computer technology, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
  • Naturally organized, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and data.
  • CDL Class A preferred, with a clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.
