Position Summary
We are in search of proactive and customer-focused service technicians who are passionate about the heavy machinery sector. As a technician, you will utilize your mechanical skills to conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for customer equipment primarily in a field service environment. Compensation: Full-Time Technician Pay Scale: $30.56/hr-$49.51/hr (+ $2.00 Differential)
Required Qualifications:
• Associate Degree or equivalent training and experience preferred.
• Experience in construction equipment repairs.
• Proficiency in welding and knowledge of cutting torch operation.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with DBS and BMTS systems.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Clean driving record is essential.
• CDL license or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Must reside within the service area.
Key Responsibilities:
The role encompasses, but is not limited to, the following duties:
• Conduct fieldwork in remote areas, with potential overnight stays.
• Operate from a Field Service Truck.
• Respond to emergency repair situations after hours as necessary.
• Opportunity for overtime based on workload (anything over 8 hours daily is compensated at 1.5x your hourly rate).
• Complete service reports, time cards, and parts returns promptly.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot diesel technology systems and components efficiently, including electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
• Perform all maintenance and repair tasks on the construction equipment we represent.
• Make decisions that are fair and in the best interest of our customers, company, and suppliers.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Uphold and promote Butler Machinery's mission, vision, and values.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
