Parts Specialist

In this position, you will serve as the friendly face that assists our customers, process parts orders for clients and our service division, maintain accurate inventory and warehousing standards, and work closely with your colleagues at the Corporate Office. Job Responsibilities for Parts Specialists

The role encompasses, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Procures and fulfills orders for customers and the service department
  • Organizes the stocking and receiving of various machinery components
  • Becomes adept in online supplier parts systems for parts lookup and ordering
  • Enhances knowledge of existing product lines and service standards
  • Assists in gathering data necessary for efficient inventory management
  • Maintains positive working relationships with service and sales teams
  • Ensures a clean and safe working environment
  • Identifies challenging customer situations and knows when to escalate for resolution
  • Prioritizes effective warehouse management, including bin locations and freight handling
  • Understands that the work schedule may include overtime and weekend shifts
  • Demonstrates basic proficiency in computer-based spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software
  • Works within and promotes the mission and values of Butler Ag
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications for Parts Specialists

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Experience in parts sales within a retail context is preferred but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with agriculture and construction equipment parts is advantageous, but not essential
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and standing for extended periods
  • Commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Aptitude for problem-solving in a fast-paced, diverse environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficient with technology
  • Organizational skills are essential
  • CDL Class A is preferred
  • Must maintain a clean driving record
