Role Summary:
HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking an Aerospace Systems Specialist to assist our Air Force client and the B-52 program. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid or remote work with occasional travel.

HII-Mission Technologies delivers mission-critical engineering and technical services to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, National Security, Aerospace & Defense, and International government and commercial clients at over 100 locations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
The Aerospace Systems Specialist will engage in systems development, integration, testing & evaluation (T&E), and risk management for Department of Defense (DoD) aircraft modification initiatives. The Senior Aerospace Systems Specialist will oversee the technical components of the program, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of all systems. Responsibilities include:

• Establishing and executing system engineering protocols to guarantee program compliance with all specifications.

• Collaborating with fellow engineers and stakeholders to identify and address technical challenges.

• Performing system-level analysis and testing to confirm the integration and proper operation of all systems.

• Creating and reviewing technical documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, and testing plans.

• Offering technical guidance and support to team members.

• Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards for all systems.

• Participating in design evaluations and technical meetings to verify adherence to all requirements.

• Managing technical risks and proactively identifying potential issues.

• Assisting in the completion of System Integration Lab (SIL) readiness assessments.

• Conducting Systems Requirements Documents (SRD).

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 0 years of experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in systems development, integration, testing & evaluation (T&E), and risk management for DoD aircraft modification programs.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Aerospace/aircraft Precision, Navigation & Timing (PNT), Global Positioning System (GPS), and/or Communications/Navigation (Comm/Nav) systems integration is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems development, integration, testing & evaluation (T&E), and risk management for DoD aircraft modification programs.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering principles.
