In the Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD), our professionals integrate cutting-edge information system technologies, including elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, alongside expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process enhancement, and software development. This enables us to deliver responsive, resilient, and high-performance software-intensive systems to our intelligence community, Department of Defense, and civilian clientele.

As a Space Missions Systems Engineer within the C3 Engineering and Operations Department, you will focus on applying these technologies to provide operationally-focused engineering solutions for space enterprise C3 systems, missions, and processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising key stakeholders on technical and analytical methodologies, force design, systems engineering, and the integration of systems and capabilities.
  • Validating that system requirements are effectively implemented throughout the design phase, ensuring alignment across various systems.
  • Overseeing the integration of interconnected systems to ensure coherent evolution and operation.
  • Developing analytic plans to comprehend missile warning mission requirements and refine force designs.
  • Analyzing mission data flows to support missile warning and tracking operations.
  • Collaborating across mission and program boundaries to identify common challenges and provide enterprise-level recommendations.
  • Building analytic teams from technical specialists to address critical technical inquiries through data-driven analysis.
  • Engaging effectively with external partners in integrated product teams.
  • Communicating technical issues and recommendations to all levels of management.

Qualifications for Success

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or a technical science from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering or missile warning systems operations.
  • Familiarity with missile warning and missile defense systems.
  • Proven ability to lead technical analyses and strong communication skills.
  • An active Secret security clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret SCI and SAP/SAR.
  • A willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Additionally, for the senior role, candidates should have:

  • 12 years of experience in relevant fields and demonstrated leadership in systems engineering.
