Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Events is a vital leader within CureDuchenne's Development Team, responsible for securing corporate sponsorships, driving fundraising initiatives, and managing event success. This role will oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive sponsorship and fundraising strategy to support CureDuchenne's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet financial objectives through sponsorship and event revenue.
  • Establish partnerships with luxury brands across various sectors, including finance, automotive, healthcare, and travel.
  • Lead and mentor the event management team, optimizing consultant contributions and third-party collaborations.
  • Engage with the Senior Leadership Team to advance organizational goals and enhance cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Create and manage budgets for the department and events.
  • Collaborate with various departments to fulfill the organization's mission.
  • Directly pursue corporate sponsorships, in-kind contributions, and employee giving initiatives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Recruit and engage qualified attendees to maximize revenue and donor development.
  • Identify and cultivate potential sponsorship opportunities, leveraging business development skills for successful outcomes.
  • Deliver exceptional experiences for donors, sponsors, and families, ensuring CureDuchenne events stand out in the competitive landscape.
  • Manage the production of the FUTURES family conference, including sponsorship acquisition and budget oversight.
  • Collaborate with Leadership and the Development Team to enhance donor experiences and relationships.
  • Utilize project management tools to track progress and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to develop and implement strategies that engage audiences before, during, and after events.
  • Assist in developing a prospecting strategy to increase revenue and attendance at events.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the mission and vision of CureDuchenne.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in managing large-scale events, preferably within nonprofit organizations.
  • Proven success in securing sponsorships from major luxury brands.
  • Experience in developing marketing strategies that contribute to revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of donor development processes and alignment with event strategies.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage complex budgets and timelines.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in building high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with project management software, Excel, Salesforce, and event management platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising initiatives.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
