Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships and Events

CureDuchenne is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships and Events to join our Development Team. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in securing corporate sponsorships, raising funds, and supporting fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Partnership Development: Create and execute strategies to achieve organizational financial goals through event, sponsor, and donor revenue.
- Sponsorship Procurement: Procure sponsorships from luxury brands and other relevant partners to support our events and programs.
- Event Management: Lead and mentor the event management team, maximize consultant value, and oversee the execution of regional cultivation and stewardship events.
- Departmental Leadership: Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, develop and advance the goals of the organization, and collaborate with other departments as necessary.
- Budget Management: Create and manage department and event budgets.
- Donor Development: Collaborate with the Development Team and Leadership to develop and strategically steward the donor experience, including building and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and supporters.
- Project Management: Build organizational capacity, track projects, contacts, and communications in Salesforce, and ensure successful and timely execution of all associated deliverables.
- Marketing and Communications: Partner with the Marketing and Communications Team on PR, social, marketing, and content development and execution, and build and implement strategies that meaningfully engage audiences before, during, and after events.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrate internal team leadership, employ an entrepreneurial, collaborative, analytical, and results-oriented approach in driving the production of high-quality events that advance revenue, our brand, donor involvement, cultivation, and stewardship.
- Results-Driven: Achieve organizational financial goals through event, sponsor, and donor revenue.
- Strategic Thinking: Develop and execute strategies to achieve organizational financial goals.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Engage with and lead senior executives and external stakeholders, and build and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and supporters.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of donor development processes, fundraising principles, and strategies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience developing and executing large-scale events, ideally in-house for non-profit organizations.
- Sponsorship Development: Successful track record of securing sponsorships from major luxury brand categories.
- Event Management: Proven track record of creating memorable, on-brand event experiences that drive business results.
- Project Management: Exceptional project management skills with ability to manage complex budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills; experience building and leading high-performing event teams.
