Position Overview
The Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Events is a vital leader within the Development Team at CureDuchenne, playing a crucial role in securing corporate sponsorships, generating funds, and supporting fundraising initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and managing a robust sponsorship and fundraising program that aligns with CureDuchenne's event and development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies to meet financial targets through event, sponsorship, and donor revenue.
- Secure sponsorships from luxury brands across various sectors, including finance, automotive, healthcare, and travel.
- Lead and mentor the event management team, optimizing consultant contributions and third-party management.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to advance organizational goals and enhance cross-departmental collaboration.
- Manage departmental and event budgets effectively.
- Develop strategies for corporate sponsorships, in-kind contributions, media partnerships, and corporate giving.
- Oversee the execution of fundraising events, ensuring alignment with financial goals and metrics.
- Identify and cultivate potential sponsorship opportunities, leveraging business development skills for successful outcomes.
- Deliver exceptional experiences for donors, sponsors, and families, ensuring CureDuchenne events stand out in the sector.
- Manage the production and oversight of the FUTURES family conference, including sponsorships and budget management.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to develop and execute strategies that engage audiences effectively.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the mission and vision of CureDuchenne.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in managing large-scale events, preferably within nonprofit organizations.
- Proven success in securing sponsorships from major luxury brands.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex budgets and timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of engaging senior executives and stakeholders.
- Experience with project management platforms and CRM systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
