Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability

This is a full-time salaried role: Monday – Friday, Day Shift.

Catalent's facility in Somerset, NJ, is equipped with advanced oral solid dosage manufacturing capabilities as part of the Oral and Specialty Delivery (OSD) division. Our site features a cutting-edge laboratory, clinical, and commercial manufacturing plant for oral dosage forms, and serves as the Catalent Center of Excellence for managing Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

The Global Environment, Sustainability, Health, and Safety Team, alongside the Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability, plays a crucial role in safeguarding employee health and safety, ensuring environmental compliance, and executing our sustainability strategy.

The Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability, and their team are collectively accountable for crafting and implementing initiatives that are essential to the company’s environmental, health, and safety goals, in alignment with Catalent's mission, values, and workforce strategies. Each team member is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the global communities where the Company operates.

The Role:

Spearhead the formulation of a Sustainability strategy aimed at reducing Catalent's environmental impact and identifying sustainability projects Oversee consultants delivering sustainability services Assess sustainability risks and devise appropriate mitigation strategies Identify opportunities to enhance Catalent's sustainability profile Provide design recommendations to facilities to elevate sustainability standards Supervise the execution of sustainability initiatives Compile reports and participate in discussions with senior and executive management regarding sustainability performance Assist in our Environment, Social, Governance (or Corporate Responsibility) reporting efforts Anticipate up to 20% global travel annually Perform other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

Bachelor's Degree required; preferred fields include Sustainability or Engineering Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM, LEED, WELL, etc. Proven success in data-driven program design and execution within large, multinational organizations Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, with occasional lifting of 0-15 pounds
