Job Description

**Job Summary**

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our environmental impact assessment team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand our environmental consulting services in the region.
  • Contribute to the growth of our Capital Project Delivery (CPD) service area by identifying and developing new business opportunities, preparing effective technical and commercial proposals, and leading consulting engagements.
  • Lead consulting engagements in the areas of impact assessment, technical discipline-specific consulting, and/or permitting and compliance.
  • Prepare impact assessments and management plans in compliance with NEPA and international standards, serving in roles ranging from lead technical expert to QA/QC and oversight.
  • Provide business value based on a strong understanding of clients' needs and raise the profile of ERM's capabilities within key client organizations.
  • Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor staff for overall success of technical team.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in environmental studies, planning, geography, civil or environmental engineering, or related technical field; Professional certification desired. Or the equivalency of 8+ years related experience in lieu of education.
  • 8+ years (10+ years preferred) of consulting experience with impact assessment and multi-media permitting.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies in permitting renewables and data/electrical transmission.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, and book personal sales in new CPD consulting services.
  • Established relationships with clients and potential partners (e.g., EPC companies) with buying centers in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern states.
  • Well-developed teambuilding and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs and challenges.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base pay for this position is $115,000 – $127,315 (USD). An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above. This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
