Position Overview:

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is expanding its operations and is seeking a qualified Project Manager to enhance our Environmental Practice. This role is pivotal in our Philadelphia, PA office, where you will play a key role in advancing our environmental consulting, engineering, permitting, and compliance services. You will engage with both private and public sector clients across diverse markets such as manufacturing, mining, real estate, solid waste, and energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional growth.
  • Make informed hiring recommendations to strengthen the team.
  • Coordinate daily operations of field environmental compliance staff, focusing on major program areas including groundwater sampling, stormwater management, and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license preferred.
  • 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in environmental project management.
  • Proven track record in managing projects in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Strong business development and client management skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects, budgeting, and cost control.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations related to air, water, and wastewater.
  • Experience in permitting and compliance across various sectors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and remediation processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in developing investigation and remediation work plans, corrective action plans, and final reports.
