Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is expanding its operations and seeks a skilled Project Manager to enhance our Environmental Practice. This role is pivotal in our Philadelphia, PA office, where you will play a key part in driving our environmental consulting, engineering, permitting, and compliance services for both private and public sector clients across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, mining, real estate, solid waste, and energy.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be tasked with:
- Fostering and maintaining client relationships.
- Overseeing project management, including planning, coordination, and supervision of daily operations for field environmental compliance teams.
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to hiring decisions.
- Managing significant program areas such as groundwater sampling and monitoring, stormwater management, and environmental compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
- A professional license, preferably P.E. or P.G.
- 5 to 15 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in managing environmental projects in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Strong business development and client management skills.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in managing multiple projects, including budgeting and cost control.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding air, water, and wastewater.
- Experience in permitting and compliance across various industries.
- Preferred experience in regulatory and remediation processes.
- Proficiency in developing investigation and remediation work plans, corrective action plans, and final reports.
