We are seeking an exceptional Senior Environmental Health Scientist to join our team at the Center of Excellence in Environmental Toxicology. As a key member of our faculty, you will contribute to advancing our understanding of environmental health sciences and translating research findings into actionable solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and sustain an independently funded research program of national or international recognition in environmental health sciences.
- Lead multi-investigator research initiatives using the rich resources in the Center, Perelman School of Medicine, and other Schools in the University.
- Teach graduate or medical students in the School of Medicine, and contribute to the development of curriculum and educational programs.
- Collaborate with faculty members from various departments to advance research and educational initiatives.
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
- Established research expertise in environmental health sciences, with a focus on one or more of the following areas: air pollution and lung health, environmental exposures and cancer, windows of susceptibility, environmental influences on reproduction and fetal development, or environmental neuroscience.
- Experience in conducting translational research using animal models, human subjects, or population-based approaches.
- Strong publication record and a demonstrated ability to secure external funding for research projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in leading multi-investigator research initiatives and managing large research projects.
- Strong teaching and mentoring skills, with experience in teaching graduate or medical students.
- Ability to translate research findings into actionable solutions for vulnerable communities, policymakers, and health professionals.
