Marine Mechanical Technician for Naval Operations

Amee Bay, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, recognized as a leader in the government sector, is seeking a Marine Mechanical Technician for Naval Operations to become part of our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in maritime mechanical systems;
  • Familiarity with Navy tag-out, WAF programs, and relevant Naval protocols;
  • Maintain Quality Work Instructions (QWI) and associated documentation;
  • Implement and oversee OSHA safety regulations;
  • Proven capability to lead and mentor junior staff;
  • Comprehensive understanding of shipboard mechanical machinery and systems, including main propulsion and auxiliary machinery;
  • Ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and evaluate Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) equipment;
  • Skilled in disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, reassembling, and testing mechanical systems;
  • Knowledge of mechanical components such as valves, bearings, gears, and system alignment;
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools, including calipers and torque wrenches;
  • Capable of interpreting blueprints, technical instructions, and manuals, as well as making red-line drawings and design suggestions.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance and Base Access; candidates with an existing Active Secret Clearance are preferred;
  • Experience requirements:
Minimum ten (10) years for 1st Class designation;
Minimum five (5) years for 2nd Class designation;
Minimum one (1) year for 3rd Class designation;
No prior experience required for Craftsmen designation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Completion of Navy 'A' / 'C' school(s) or a vocational, maritime, or equivalent Journeyman training program;
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License;
  • Must pass drug screening;
  • Candidates are required to provide their own hand tools necessary for this role.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous military experience relevant to the position or experience in the Maritime Industry;
  • Experience with U.S. Navy Auxiliary equipment, including Cargo/Weapons Elevators and other related systems;
  • Experience with Marine Diesel Engines;
  • Experience with Gas Turbine Engines.
Location: This position is based in a government facility.
