Position Overview:
As a Service Engineer specializing in naval systems, you will provide expert technical guidance to support various maritime operations, particularly for the US Navy's aircraft carriers and submarines.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary focus will be on the shipboard installation and maintenance of advanced Curtiss Wright products, including steam turbines, pumps, trip throttle valves, and electrical generators. You will:

  • Offer engineering oversight during disassembly, inspection, and repair processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting complex procedures and findings.
  • Ensure the successful reassembly and testing of machinery.

The work environment is predominantly industrial, with expectations for flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in a relevant technical role.
  • Experience with heavy rotating oil-lubricated machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with tooling, machining, and measurement instruments.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to create complex reports in Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • US citizenship and eligibility for DOD security clearance.
