About the Role
Serve as the first point of contact for the medical front office at American Family Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a warm and welcoming smile, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner, providing accurate information and resolving issues promptly.
- Provide patients with initial paperwork and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Register patients, update patient records, and verify insurance accurately and timely, maintaining the highest level of data integrity.
- Follow company procedures related to workers' compensation and occupational medicine patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Determine, collect, and process patient payments and address collection and billing issues, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Discharge patients accurately and timely by collecting balances, providing patient documentation, and following discharge procedures, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
- Assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests, demonstrating a commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
- Balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) against system reports, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely reconciliation.
- Flexibility to cross-train and work in other positions in the clinic, demonstrating a willingness to adapt and grow with our team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous medical office experience preferred, but not required.
