As a Medical Office Coordinator Assistant with American Family Care, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment and play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care.

Job Summary

Serve as the first point of contact for the medical front office, greeting and registering patients, collecting payments, discharging patients, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering phone calls and addressing their inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner.
  2. Obtain and verify patient information, including insurance and identification cards, and register patients accurately and timely.
  3. Process patient payments, address collection and billing issues, and balance daily patient charges against system reports.
  4. Discharge patients accurately and timely, collecting balances, providing patient documentation, and following discharge procedures.
  5. Assist patients with follow-up appointments and fulfill medical documentation requests.
  6. Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care.
  7. Demonstrate flexibility and be able to cross-train and work in other positions within the clinic.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
