Role Summary:
The Finance Department plays a pivotal role in delivering financial insights and strategic guidance across various operational teams, including FP&A, Real Estate, Human Resources, and Innovation. The Senior Financial Analyst is an inquisitive and self-driven professional responsible for creating and evaluating diverse financial models and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
As a vital cross-functional collaborator, this position will serve as a financial expert in budgeting and P&L analysis, focusing on:

  • Identifying variances and expense trends
  • Assessing food waste
  • Evaluating overall profitability

This proactive team member will demonstrate strong business acumen and possess excellent quantitative and decision-making abilities.

Success Factors:
A successful Senior Financial Analyst will transform data analysis into actionable insights, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders, thereby aiding in informed business decisions.

Work Environment:
This role offers a hybrid remote work arrangement, with the expectation that the ideal candidate will be available for occasional travel as required.

Essential Duties:
In collaboration with the broader FP&A team, the Senior Financial Analyst will:

  • Prepare and maintain specific components of the corporate budget
  • Continuously enhance the enterprise financial model
  • Conduct comprehensive ad-hoc financial analyses and present results to senior leadership
  • Report on financial performance metrics and explain variances against the budget

Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years in quantitative and qualitative financial analysis, ideally within the restaurant or retail sectors.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.

Skills Required:
Exceptional financial modeling capabilities, with a focus on deriving insights from data to recommend profitability enhancements.
Strong understanding of financial statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flow.
Proven track record in budget generation, P&L analysis, and financial reporting.
Advanced analytical skills, sound business judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with various organizational levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams while meeting deadlines.
Adaptability to shifting priorities and a strong drive for results.

Technical Proficiency:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Anaplan and Power BI is preferred.
