Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within our financial planning and analysis team.

This position involves developing forecasting models, consolidating and reviewing annual budgets, analyzing profitability at customer and location levels, implementing process improvements, and conducting various ad hoc analyses as required.

The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as the primary finance liaison for our distribution centers, holding full P&L accountability, as well as supporting National Sales leadership with finance, accounting, and process-related assistance.

Candidates should be adept at navigating a complex organizational structure, possessing excellent communication skills, time management abilities, and the capacity to conduct advanced independent analyses.

This role requires collaboration within the department and across the organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.


Key Responsibilities:
- Support topline forecasting and sales analysis for designated operating companies and business channels in a complex environment.
- Prepare detailed monthly forecasts of each location's complete P&L through independent analysis and collaboration with operating company and sales leadership.
- Assist in the development of the annual operating plan, including full P&L, capital expenditure, and working capital estimates.
- Evaluate financial and operational results to provide monthly insights on profitability, risks, and opportunities to various stakeholders.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses, develop new business profitability models, perform trend analysis, and evaluate capital investment returns.

- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, sales, and IT to ensure compliance with financial authority policies and assess returns on capital investments.

- Work with the operating company field accounting team to address variance and trend issues, standardize review practices, and investigate trends.
- Identify growth opportunities and communicate efficiently regarding risk areas, including operational performance metrics, target staffing levels, sales opportunities, and competitive risks.

- Support the month-end close process by collaborating with leadership and field accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial closing.

- Research accounting issues with Corporate shared services accounting related to AR, AP, or accruals as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue and expense modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v lookups, and managing large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of financial analysis experience, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue and expense modeling.
- Experience in financial analysis within a public company is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the distribution or food service industry is advantageous.
