M/I Homes, a distinguished homebuilder with over four decades of expertise in creating quality residences, is in search of a committed individual to take on the role of a New Home Consultant. As a New Home Consultant, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients through the homebuying experience. Your duties will encompass showcasing our product features, floor plans, and designs tailored to meet the unique requirements of each client. You will act as a trusted advisor, working alongside internal teams to guarantee a smooth homebuilding process and customer satisfaction at every stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform visiting customers into future homeowners within our new home communities.
  • Leverage various resources to drive sales, including marketing materials, model homes, and realtor partnerships.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and customer service objectives with minimal oversight.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitors to uphold M/I Homes' leading position in the industry.
  • Inform potential buyers about M/I Homes' offerings, community benefits, financing options, and more.
  • Serve as the primary contact for homebuyers, providing assistance from the initial meeting to home closing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and participate in division meetings to ensure effective communication and a seamless homebuilding experience.
  • Maintain M/I Homes' brand image by overseeing community appearance and home upkeep.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree preferred but not mandatory. Equivalent training in sales and marketing is acceptable.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in new home sales within the housing market, demonstrating a successful track record in both sales volume and customer satisfaction.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to balance individual and collaborative teamwork.
  • Exhibits adaptability, confidence, creativity, resilience, self-motivation, and a customer-service focus.
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening, observation, negotiation, selling, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills and open to adapting to new technologies.

Work Conditions:

  • Weekend work is required.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • A personal cell phone for business use and a valid driver's license are necessary.
  • Ability to demonstrate homes with multiple levels and varying stages of development.
