General Overview:

This role is exclusively available to current employees of the University. The Director of Ice Hockey Administration will work under the Head Coach of Ice Hockey, overseeing video analysis and supporting administrative functions for the Division I Ice Hockey program.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Video Analysis Management:

  • Evaluate and manage ice hockey video footage to ensure thorough preparation for upcoming opponents.
  • Source game footage from rival teams and provide detailed pre-scout breakdowns.
  • Assist in post-game video analysis and statistical evaluations using software tools.
  • Supervise the setup and management of video equipment during home and away games.
  • Utilize video exchange programs to address penalties and review contentious plays.
  • Access NHL game footage for enhanced analysis and insights.
  • Collaborate with junior hockey programs to gather video for recruitment purposes.
  • Create engaging highlight reels set to music.
  • Distribute game footage to coaching staff during travel.

2. Team Travel Coordination:

  • Organize all travel logistics for the Ice Hockey team, including accommodations and transportation.
  • Prepare comprehensive travel itineraries for away games.
  • Manage meal arrangements for both home and away games.
  • Oversee team meals during academic breaks.

3. Budget Oversight:

  • Monitor travel expenses to ensure compliance with the operational budget.
  • Act as the liaison with the University Travel Agent for all travel-related bookings.

4. Fundraising and Camp Coordination:

Assist in organizing fundraising events and summer camps.

5. Academic Liaison:

Support student-athletes in maintaining academic excellence in accordance with NCAA standards.

  • Maintain an inclusive environment welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Compliance with NCAA regulations is mandatory. All employees must be knowledgeable about applicable NCAA rules and participate in compliance training as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent evening and weekend work, along with travel to away games.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience in hockey operations at the collegiate level.
  • Proficiency in software programs including video editing and statistical analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.

  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
