Key Responsibilities:

Must adhere to all EEC, NAEYC, and Head Start performance criteria.

This position may involve substitute teaching as needed. Duties include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to Head Start/Early Head Start and the MA Department of Early Education and Care;
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean, safe, healthy, and developmentally suitable classroom environment;
  • Supporting individual and group activities in a center-based classroom under the guidance of the educators.

Required Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory, along with a CDA required for this role.
  • (If you do not possess your CDA, we will assist you in obtaining it and cover the costs)
  • Early Education and Care (EEC) Preschool and/or Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification is required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of teaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with low-income individuals or families is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills in basic software and data collection systems are necessary.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or English/Khmer) are a plus.
  • ORI/DCF review prior to employment.
  • Background check prior to employment.
  • Strong crisis management skills.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
