The Director of IT Applications (Digital Automation) plays a crucial role in managing digital automation initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Data Analytics and Business Solutions, this position oversees a diverse team located in the US and India, comprising over 30 professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data science, artificial intelligence, business process management (BPM), and robotic process automation (RPA), driving technology-enabled enhancements throughout the organization.

This position is centered around two primary objectives:


  • Maximize financial impact across the organization through strategic application of analytics and automation.


  • Guarantee the reliability, continuity, and suitability of Medline's analytics and automation resources.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the digital automation teams in both the US and India, ensuring the delivery of top-tier digital automation solutions while effectively managing time, cost, and scope.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, teamwork, and ongoing improvement within the digital automation teams.
  • Formulate and uphold a robust digital automation strategy that aligns with the organization's overarching business objectives.
  • Provide strategic insights and direction to executives and stakeholders regarding business automation strategies and best practices. Manage expectations of enterprise leaders concerning digital automation resources and services.
  • Establish and track performance metrics to ensure the digital automation teams achieve or surpass service levels and key performance indicators (KPIs). Advocate for a data-driven decision-making culture.
  • Oversee and optimize the budget for the digital automation teams, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet organizational demands.
  • Provide guidance and oversight related to staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Implement and maintain digital automation solutions while adhering to best practices in data security, architecture, and change management.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree (master's or MBA) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives, effectively operating and influencing within complex organizational contexts.
  • Experience managing teams in a global environment, including remote teams in India.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and drive transformation within both business and IT at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with business stakeholders and executives.
  • Robust problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrating data literacy and the capacity to devise innovative solutions to intricate challenges.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in digital automation and AI.
  • Experience in budget management and financial forecasting.
  • 4+ years of experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong prioritization and project management skills.
