The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for formulating long-term plans aligned with the organization's objectives to enhance sales, expand market presence, and boost profitability for Medline's distribution network.
Key Responsibilities• Expand Medline's distribution network by introducing innovative solutions, products, and services to potential clients.
• Collaborate with technical teams and other internal departments to fulfill customer requirements.
• Foster new business opportunities through strong relationships with nursing facilities and hospice providers.
• Engage with mid and senior-level management to discuss market trends, aiming to create new services, products, and distribution avenues.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will drive sales growth.
• Negotiate and finalize business agreements to enhance Medline's distribution network.
• Monitor and document account activities to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
• Supervise Program Managers across all Homecare business lines (HME, Home Health and Hospice, Health Plans).
Management Duties Include:
• Typically oversees multiple managerial roles.
• Provides leadership and oversight to one or more major departments or to a department with system-wide responsibilities.
• Engages in strategic, tactical, and operational planning (12+ months) for the department;
• Holds direct budgetary authority for one or more departments, functions, or significant projects/programs;
• Interprets and implements policies for departments/projects and develops new policies or modifies existing ones;
• Responsible for hiring staff, recommending salary adjustments, conducting performance evaluations, and overseeing staff training and development, while ensuring adherence to organizational policies.
QualificationsEducation:
• Bachelor’s Degree
Relevant Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years in sales and/or business development.
• At least 4 years of experience in managing a sales team, including hiring, training, motivating, and directing personnel.
Additional Skills:• Proven experience in contract negotiation, conflict resolution, and reconciling differences.
• Experience working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to devise strategies that meet departmental objectives within budget and time constraints.
• Experience presenting to senior management and providing recommendations for new business initiatives.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time for business purposes.
Preferred Experience:
• Background in sales and/or business development within the healthcare sector.
