Job Summary

AB Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Northern Illinois. As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing evaluation, consultative, and counseling services in the school setting for initial psychological assessment and for reevaluation of children in special education programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and lead the multidisciplinary team in the process of identifying students of intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
  • Communicate psychological assessment results and recommendations both verbally and through written reports.
  • Participate in eligibility and program decisions in meeting the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Participate in and contribute to professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate Degree (M.A., Ed.S., M.S. Ed., Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) Endorsement for School Psychologist.
  • Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations in a high school setting preferred.
  • CPI certified, or willingness to become certified, preferred
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Benefits
  • $60-$65 hourly
  • Total based on 40 hours a week: $2,400-$2,600
  • 36 Week total based on school year: $86,400-$93,600
