Position Overview

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Circuit Court Analyst within the Department of Judicial Services. This is a part-time hourly position, requiring approximately 29.5 hours of work each week, without benefits.

Key Responsibilities

The Circuit Court Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the circuit courts across the Commonwealth. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing assistance via telephone and email to court personnel.
  • Conducting training sessions for court staff.
  • Testing and documenting software modifications and enhancements.
  • Creating and maintaining operational documentation.

Essential Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of clerk's office operations, effective organizational management skills, and proficiency in written communication and presentation. Experience in developing training materials and operational manuals is essential. Interaction with various levels of judiciary personnel and governmental agencies is a key aspect of this role. Direct experience in a clerk's office is preferred, along with knowledge of case management, financial systems, land recordation, and civil and criminal case processing. Familiarity with PC systems, particularly Microsoft Office, is also advantageous. Occasional travel within the Commonwealth may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a circuit court, general district court, or juvenile and domestic relations district court clerk's office is highly desirable. Candidates must reside in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and there may be opportunities for remote work.
