About the Role
The Security Operations Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing a sophisticated CCTV system designed to safeguard the assets of the organization. This role involves effective communication with local law enforcement and store personnel to ensure the successful handling of incidents.
The individual will assist store staff in resolving CCTV-related challenges and collaborate with team members on a rotating shift schedule. The operations center functions overnight, necessitating the ability to work during these hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor advanced security technology to protect the assets of the organization.
- Respond to a continuous stream of system alerts from various security technologies, including video analytics.
- Quickly evaluate whether detected activities may be criminal and decide on appropriate actions, including making announcements or contacting law enforcement.
- Conduct follow-ups with law enforcement and management to ensure all incidents are resolved effectively.
- Document all incidents thoroughly in the company's case management system.
- Address burglar alarm notifications from third-party alarm services and assess whether activities are legitimate threats or false alarms.
- Assist store managers with live activity reviews and coordinate security guard coverage when necessary.
- Perform daily audits to ensure all security technology is functioning correctly.
- Maintain security equipment and report any issues that require attention.
- Support internal partners and vendors to resolve security equipment-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Role Purpose

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: College degree, though not mandatory.
- Two years of experience in Loss Prevention/Security or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
- High ethical standards are essential.
- Availability to work overnight shifts on weekends.
