Position Summary:
The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management is in search of a seasoned Lead Operations Analyst to enhance the Investment Operations division. This role will focus on delivering comprehensive middle and back-office operational support for the internal fixed income portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate trade confirmations and prompt settlement of transactions.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of cash and holdings for designated portfolios.
  • Manage the processing of principal and interest payments across various security types, including treasury and corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, futures, options, and swaps.
  • Act as the operational liaison with brokers, clearing organizations, and internal portfolio managers.
  • Oversee TBA allocations, establish new accounts, maintain settlement instructions with broker/dealers, and update securities information within the internal system.
  • Collaborate with internal investment professionals, the master custodian, and external parties to ensure the accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Provide additional support to other Investment Operations team members as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in investment operations, accounting, or a similar environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various investment and support teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards.
  • Proficiency in finance, accounting, and investment analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
