Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor advanced security technology to protect CarMax assets across the country.
2. Respond to a continuous stream of system alerts from various technologies, including video analytics.
3. Quickly evaluate potential criminal activities and make informed decisions on how to address them, including issuing voice announcements or contacting law enforcement.
4. Conduct follow-ups with law enforcement and management to ensure all incidents are resolved satisfactorily.
5. Prepare detailed reports of incidents to document activities within the company's case management system.
6. Address burglar alarm system alerts as reported by third-party alarm companies, reviewing CCTV footage to determine the nature of the activity.
7. Assist store managers with live activity reviews and security-related inquiries, including coordinating third-party security coverage when necessary.
8. Perform daily audits to ensure all security technology is functioning correctly.
9. Maintain security equipment and report any issues that require attention.
10. Collaborate with internal business partners and vendors to resolve security equipment-related issues.

Role Purpose
In alignment with CarMax's commitment to prioritizing people, the primary duty of the Command Center Analyst is to monitor security systems to protect associates and property while identifying criminal activities. The analyst adheres to departmental protocols to ensure the security platforms are operational and well-maintained. Vigilance and sound judgment are essential in responding to system alerts and incidents, often in collaboration with fellow analysts to achieve overall objectives.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a Loss Prevention/Security-related field or a computer-related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
- High ethical standards are essential.
- Availability to work overnight shifts on weekends.
