Position Summary:
We are in search of an experienced Senior Financial Operations Manager to oversee the financial operations for our North American division. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong focus on customer service, collaboration, and analytical skills to lead our proficient finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance department with a leadership style that aligns with our corporate values and adheres to US-GAAP standards and other corporate guidelines.
- Provide continuous guidance, training, and support to the finance team and other stakeholders; delegate tasks effectively and maintain open lines of communication between departments.
- Ensure adherence to proper financial methods, policies, and procedures.
- Cultivate and sustain positive, reliable, and growth-oriented relationships with customers.
- Manage the month-end closing process and oversee the Annual Financial Audit.
- Take charge of all processes within the finance department, identifying areas for enhancement and proactively implementing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with senior management on cost management, customer credit assessments, insurance policies, financial planning, and related matters.
- Oversee inventory valuations and adjustments.
- Manage all tax-related processes, ensuring timely and accurate tax payments.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on accounts payable/receivable and other financial transactions.
- Stay informed about GAAP, accounting best practices, tax regulations, and other relevant financial standards in the US and Canada.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate processing of payments.
- Co-manage payroll processes in conjunction with the HR department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a corporate finance management role, with a proven track record in managing accounting processes and leading teams.
- A Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or CA are advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional management and supervisory abilities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations in the US and Canada.
- Proficient in ERP systems (preferably NAVISION) and other electronic accounting platforms.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, especially Excel.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects; frequent sitting and standing may be required.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, exempt position, which may require occasional evening and weekend work as well as travel as needed for job responsibilities.
