Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service and Service Desk Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal in delivering first-rate technical assistance to end users, addressing a variety of hardware, software, and peripheral-related challenges. The successful candidate will ensure that service requests are resolved efficiently and effectively, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs).

The Field Service and Service Desk Engineer will lead the IT Field Support team, requiring exceptional customer service and problem-solving capabilities to diagnose, assess, and resolve intricate technical issues. When necessary, the engineer will escalate problems to appropriate teams for further resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop the IT Field Support team.
  • Contribute to technology-driven continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Community Systems.
  • Manage team performance to align with company standards and safety protocols.
  • Provide advanced support for complex application-related issues.
  • Collaborate with group IT as needed.
  • Design and implement technology solutions.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Extensive experience with desktop and server operating systems.
  • Proven experience in developing Service Level Agreements and Help Desk deliverables.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Solid understanding of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Proven ability to leverage IT solutions to address business challenges.
  • Strong grasp of human resource management principles and practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing or directing an IT team.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT desktop support or equivalent roles.
  • Required Certifications: One or more of the following:
    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Network+
    • CompTIA Security+
