Position Title: Senior Project Management Officer

Location: Remote

Project Overview:

The organization is in search of a proactive Senior Project Management Officer to oversee the Project Schedule, Dependencies, Risks, workstream activities, and System Integrator (SI) Deliverables while monitoring the productivity of SI personnel for the Child Welfare CCWIS Solution design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the formation and integration of project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and a clear understanding of the project vision. Support agile teams in the effective use of AzureDevOps (ADO) for quality and performance measurement.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing between external stakeholders and the project team, while monitoring project advancement and fostering a culture of agility and continuous learning.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business milestones in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and communication documents, managing expectations among team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths effectively.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones utilizing appropriate project management tools.
  • Conduct daily team meetings to capture project updates, address potential challenges, and ensure project alignment.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of milestones identified by various workstream leads, providing status updates and escalating risks as necessary.
  • Keep a registry of risks and issues, tracking progress diligently.
  • Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and develop contingency strategies.
  • Oversee System Integrator Agile Processes by validating staff performance and managing time and task submissions weekly.
  • Provide timely metrics and audit results to assess progress towards quality objectives.
  • Encourage Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to identify and eliminate project obstacles.

Skill Requirements:

  • Project Management: Extensive experience in conveying technical and functional concepts.
  • Documentation: Proven ability to prepare complex technical documentation.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Tools: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA, including creating Queries, Dashboards, alerts, and data exports.
  • Certifications: Active Certified Scrum Master (Scrum Alliance) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: Significant experience with large-scale IT projects and familiarity with the Human Services or Child Welfare sector.
  • Project Management Professional Certification: Highly desired.
  • MS Project: Proficient in developing schedules, tracking dependencies, milestones, resources, and critical paths.
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for capturing, analyzing, and reporting data points.
  • Process Documentation: Experience with MS Visio for documenting process flow charts.
  • Project Artifacts: Experience in producing essential project documents such as Project Plans and Risk Management Plans.
  • Communication: Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
