Job Title: Senior Analyst, REMVE and Domestic Extremism

MEMRI - The Middle East Media Research Institute is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join its Domestic Terrorism Threat Monitor (DTTM) project. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring online incitement to violence and threats by REMVEs (Racially and Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists), neo-Nazis, anti-government extremists, and others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily research on REMVE actors, domestic extremism, and similar movements.
  • Participate in regular threat-briefings and other public engagement work.
  • Prepare reports on racially and ethnically motivated violent extremism and antisemitism, by groups and individuals in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Collaborate with the team on larger research projects, requiring strong teamwork and communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a threat researcher, with a focus on REMVE actors, domestic extremism, or similar movements.
  • In-depth knowledge of the REMVE landscape online, including familiarity with key groups and individuals.
  • Experience conducting non-participatory social media research and analysis.
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience writing for a professional audience.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
