About the Role

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled Cost/Pricing Analyst III to join our team in the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (DAF RCO). As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on cost and pricing issues, ensuring compliance with federal, DoD, and Air Force acquisition policy, law, regulation, and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counsel to procurement personnel on cost and pricing issues, utilizing extensive contracting and pricing experience and recognizing judgment in providing practical advice on proceeding under specific circumstances.

  • Utilize knowledge of federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting and pricing regulations, policies, and processes for specific situations, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

  • Assist Contracting Officers in determining cost objectives and ensure they are based on sound pricing principles, providing expert analysis and recommendations.

  • Act as the primary cost/price analyst on extremely complex or sensitive contracting issues, serving as the technical expert in pricing-related matters.

  • Review and evaluate contract price proposals for adequacy and compliance with laws, regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), conducting in-depth analytical and judgmental evaluations of proposals.

  • Manage significant and complex agency acquisitions involving diverse supplies and services, ensuring timely and effective execution.

  • Evaluate technical, audit reports, and legal opinions to determine the various cost elements or justified exceptions in terms of factors, like risk, extent of government assistance, problems of capital investment, and extent of subcontracting.

  • This position may have formal supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, onboarding, oversight of timekeeping, performance assessments, managing tasking, and reporting, and oversight of other contract staff.

  • Senior labor category personnel typically work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently.

Requirements

  • Master of Art/Master of Science/Master of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree required.

  • 10+ years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than 2 years of experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment with at least 1 year of that total being within the past 5 years.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Proficient in classified accounting systems; Momentum preferred.

  • Active and valid driver's license.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
