About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team at the Center on Education and the Workforce. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading project teams, developing and implementing our annual work plan, and interacting with external audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead 2-3 project teams at any given time, overseeing the development and implementation of research projects from conceptualization to press rollout.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and the Director to develop the annual work plan and overall strategic planning.
  • Conduct robust economic analyses on salient education and labor market issues, including landscape analyses of current policy and literature.
  • Organize all aspects of research projects, including report design and implementation.
  • Manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and writer editors to ensure projects are of the highest quality.
  • Support strategic planning of the center and fundraising efforts.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Master of Arts in Public Policy or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in policy research, analysis, or a related field.
  • Expert programming skills, demonstrated project management skills, and clear and strong writing experience.
  • Expert applied knowledge of at least one of SAS or STATA and extensive working experience with CPS, SIPP, ACS, IPEDS, NLS09, ELS02, and BARRONS.
  • Preferred: Evaluation and policy research experience.
Work Environment

This position is 100% grant funded and will be expected to interact with external audiences, including keynote speeches and technical working groups. The position will report directly to the Director of the Center and will be part of the Center's senior leadership team.
