Accounts Payable Clerk Job Summary

Our well-established and highly respected service-based client is seeking a highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional data entry skills, a strong command of Excel, and top-tier experience in Accounts Payable. Experience in Accounts Receivable posting is a plus. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are essential, as you will be responsible for entering detailed equipment data. Strong proficiency in Word, excellent communication skills, and a problem-solving mindset are also required.

Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize accounts payable files and records with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests with professionalism.
  • Ensure proper matching of invoices to payments received.
  • Deliver reliable administrative and clerical support to colleagues and supervisors, ensuring smooth departmental operations.
Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains and Service Trade software is preferred.
  • Strong, proven work history with a commitment to excellence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with both customers and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick learner with the ability to navigate various business software platforms.
  • Strong numerical aptitude.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, typing, and 10-key.
  • A driven, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
Accounts Payable Clerk Compensation

The selected Accounts Payable Clerk will receive a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, including full medical, vision, and dental coverage.
