Senior Cybersecurity Architect - Remote Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, maintaining security technology standards and best practices across the organization while contributing to the overall enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Design and implement security strategies, architectures, and platforms. Conduct enterprise due diligence activities, including security monitoring and metrics to assess the effectiveness of the security program and established controls.
  • Guarantee that necessary security controls are integrated into technical designs.
  • Engage in security governance processes.
  • Collaborate on IT security initiatives across various business areas and client groups.
  • Diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and execute action plans for resolution.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in security architecture for business areas, project teams, and vendors, guiding the appropriate use of technology solutions and leading discussions on technology vision and challenges.
  • Build consensus around security architecture principles and provide clarity on these principles.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology solutions, providing detailed analyses of options.
  • Offer technical guidance to junior Security Architects.
  • Contribute to project teams by providing insights on security standards and their impact on technology.
  • Investigate and report on security threats and incidents.
  • Conduct post-event reviews of security incidents.
  • Maintain comprehensive operational, architectural, and design documentation, including procedures and architecture blueprints.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of Security Architecture designs, focusing on performance, confidentiality, integrity, availability, access, and total cost of ownership.
  • Facilitate project transitions by preparing documentation and providing support to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Select and design tools that promote the reuse of design components across projects. Develop working solutions or prototypes based on personal designs and resolve any arising issues.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with IT and business partners to evaluate designs and controls.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and experience, benchmark technology strategies, and monitor trends to align with organizational objectives and needs.
  • Advocate for the implementation of new technologies and methods to enhance business processes and deliver greater value to customers.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, particularly as an Architect on progressively complex IT projects.
  • Extensive experience in Security Architecture, particularly with:
    • IDM Security Solutions
    • ForgeRock
    • OAuth

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in cloud security.
  • Experience in IAM, focusing on employee and consumer identity security.
  • Experience in securing APIs.
  • Preferred experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Information Security certifications (CISM, CISA, etc.) are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.

Education Requirements:

A related Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in an IT-related field.

Licenses and Certifications:

CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (to be obtained within 180 days if converted to full-time).
