Senior Cybersecurity Architect - Remote Position

ARC Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Architect to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely during standard business hours in the Eastern Time Zone. The position is initially structured as a contract with the potential for extension or transition to a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, maintaining security technology best practices across the organization.
  • Design and implement security strategies, architectures, and platforms, including conducting due diligence on security monitoring and metrics.
  • Integrate necessary security controls into technical designs and participate in security governance processes.
  • Collaborate with various business areas and client groups on IT security initiatives.
  • Diagnose issues and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in security architecture for project teams and vendors, guiding the application of technology solutions.
  • Facilitate consensus on security architecture principles and clarify their application.
  • Assist in evaluating, selecting, and implementing technology solutions, providing thorough analyses of options.
  • Offer technical mentorship to junior Security Architects.
  • Contribute to project teams by providing insights on security standards and their implications for technology.
  • Investigate and document security threats and incidents, conducting post-event reviews.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational, architectural, and design procedures.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of security architecture designs, focusing on performance, confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Manage project transitions by preparing documentation and providing support for smooth handoffs.
  • Design tools that promote the reuse of design components across projects and develop working prototypes.
  • Build and sustain relationships with IT and business partners to evaluate designs and controls.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and experience, benchmarking technology strategies and monitoring industry trends.
  • Promote the adoption of new technologies and methods to improve business processes and customer value.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
  • Relevant Information Security certifications (CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT Infrastructure Services and security controls.
  • Experience with Network Security principles, including firewalls and perimeter defenses.
  • Proficiency in End-Point, Remote Access, and Logging & Monitoring Security solutions.
  • Experience with Big Data architectures and cloud platforms like AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
  • Experience in securing digital engagement models and API gateways.

Required Experience:

5+ years of relevant experience in architecture roles on complex IT projects.

Required Education:

A related Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in an IT-related field.

Required Certifications:

CISSP certification is required within 180 days if transitioned to a full-time role.
