About the Role:

Talent Consultant Group is partnering with a leading Architecture firm to find a highly skilled Senior Architect to join their team in Florida.

The ideal candidate will lead project teams, oversee design and technical aspects of projects, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality architectural design solutions.

This individual will work closely with clients, consultants, and team members to manage and execute commercial projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Design Development: Develop creative and innovative design solutions that meet client needs and comply with regulatory requirements. Lead the design process from concept through construction documentation, bidding, and permitting.
  • Construction Administration: Prepare detailed field reports, review and respond to RFI's, Change Orders, and other construction-related inquiries. Attend OAC meetings. Coordinate close-out with consultants.
  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong client relationships, effectively communicating project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior staff, providing technical and design expertise. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Oversee the preparation of detailed construction drawings and specifications. Ensure all design work complies with all applicable Codes, regulations, and relevant standards. A senior architect is expected to sign and seal documents as a part of their role.
  • Consultant Coordination: Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of design and construction documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project goals. See the projects through construction to maintain that quality control until the completion of the project.
  • Business Development: Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio of commercial projects.
  • Licensure: Licensed Architect required. Licensed in The State of Florida or the ability to get licensure in Florida through reciprocity.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD are required. Additional experience in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software is a plus.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present ideas and solutions to clients and team members.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
