About This Role

The Medical Office Coordinator - Patient Financial Services is responsible for managing multiple facets of patient financial account services within the practice. Key responsibilities include patient benefit assessment, insurance verification, pre-certification, pre-authorizations, and referrals management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Benefit Assessment: Determine patient eligibility and coverage for medical services
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information to ensure accurate billing
  • Pre-Certification: Obtain prior authorization from payers for scheduled services
  • Surgery Scheduling: Coordinate all aspects of surgery scheduling, including appointment setup and revision/cancellation as necessary
