Position Summary:

The Transportation Support Specialist plays a vital role within the Outreach team, assisting case managers in facilitating client transportation and providing essential administrative support across various programs, including Youth Mentoring, Prison Reentry, and Workforce Development. The primary objective is to empower families towards self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Duties:

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and organizational policies.
  • Engage in required training sessions.
  • Provide transportation for clients and necessary supplies.
  • Support case managers by delivering additional services as outlined in client service plans.
  • Document and report the outcomes of transportation activities to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all operational guidelines of Outreach Works.
  • Participate in team meetings as required.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Mandatory office attendance is required.

Program Assistance Duties:

  • Support tutoring and mentoring initiatives across various programs.
  • Manage file documentation and perform data entry into the agency's database and software systems.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, training materials, and other documentation using relevant software.
  • Assist in assembling materials for programs.
  • Provide support for photocopying, ordering, and other operational tasks.
  • Act as a backup for additional programs as needed.
  • Utilize computer applications effectively.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Mandatory office attendance is required.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be legally able to operate a vehicle.
  • Ability to work evening hours as needed.
  • Capable of navigating throughout the agency and client residences.
  • Proficient in using computers and various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience or training in human services.
  • Familiarity with probation, parole, and youth services is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management software is required.

Clearances:

Must have or be eligible to obtain current ACT 33 (Child Abuse) and 34 (Criminal Background) clearances, as well as any additional clearances required.

Supervisory Role:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with occasional travel required in various community settings. The role involves working with justice-involved individuals.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Reliable transportation is required for client transport.
