We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Flow Coordinator to join our team at Billings Clinic. As a key member of our Patient Flow Center, you will play a critical role in coordinating patient transfers and medical conversations between regional providers and Billings Clinic physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and coordinate with providers, clinicians, and staff to support medical conversations and transfers within the Billings Clinic system and our region.
- Assess and address non-medical factors and potential barriers involved in patient transfers, referring accordingly.
- Orchestrate patient movement within the Billings Clinic system to balance bed supply and demand, reducing or eliminating unnecessary delays.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
- Provide support to the Transfer Nurse, Administrator on Duty (AOD), and Patient Placement roles.
- High School or GED
- 2 years' experience working in a healthcare setting, recent acute hospital experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered
