PRIMARY FUNCTION

Main Responsibility: The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying potential leads for follow-up by external sales representatives. This position serves as a key point of contact for customers, managing inquiries and processing orders for various products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generate a list of potential clients using available resources and company databases.

- Handle incoming and outgoing calls from customers to facilitate orders for products and services. Clearly articulate the benefits of different offerings and aim to enhance customer purchases.

- Provide pricing information, delivery timelines, and payment options while effectively persuading customers to make purchases based on a solid understanding of the company's offerings.

- Input customer and prospect details, including orders and feedback, into the company database.

- Complete order documentation, ensuring all necessary details such as delivery dates and payment information are accurately recorded. Verify order acceptability with the credit department.

- Source requested items from relevant vendors.

- At the conclusion of each shift, compile a summary report of activities as per company telemarketing guidelines and submit it to the corporate telemarketing department.

- May need to reach out to customers regarding shipment delays or material shortages, providing necessary explanations. May also cross-check prospect lists against actual customer records to prevent duplicate outreach.

- Perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • High school diploma; some college education is preferred.
  • Possess a friendly and persuasive telephone demeanor.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English proficiently.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of one to two years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or procurement roles.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong understanding of network systems and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Capability to diagnose and resolve issues methodically and efficiently.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks amidst frequent interruptions, especially in urgent situations.
  • Skill in effectively communicating and collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Attention to detail is crucial in a dynamic office setting.
  • General office environment with potential for extended periods of sitting or standing.
  • Some physical effort may be required, including lifting or moving items weighing up to 60 pounds.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of mandatory training courses as specified by Human Resources.
