Your role and responsibilities
The Client Relations Manager is responsible for formulating tactical and strategic customer engagement plans to achieve financial targets, sales, and profit objectives. In this role, you will engage with industrial and utility clients, promoting the services and products of the Electrification Service division to identify, nurture, and secure orders, while executing business strategies and influencing both short-term and long-term goals. Although this is a remote position, successful candidates will ideally be situated in the greater Detroit, Michigan area. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Communicating essential details to customers regarding delivery timelines, payment terms, and general conditions, in alignment with ABB's offerings and strategic vision.
• Ensuring effective marketing initiatives and articulating the value proposition to clients.
• Identifying and spearheading the development of new market opportunities within the designated sector.
• Overseeing administrative processes in sales operations and assisting with cash collection and project management activities as required.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or utility sales role)
- At least 3 years of experience in Sales, Field Services, or Marketing with a focus on customer development in a pre-order capacity
- A minimum of 3 years of knowledge and experience in selling products and services related to electrical power studies, switchgear, drives, motors, and transformers
- Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and driver's license
- Willingness and ability to travel within the District
- Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
