Located in Columbus, Ohio, the Cruelty Recovery Center is home to a committed team dedicated to the care of animals rescued from abuse and disasters. This position involves overseeing a team of nearly 50 professionals, including full-time staff, volunteers, and foster families, all working together to provide exceptional care for vulnerable animals.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Program Management (40%):

  • Guide the CRC team, ensuring effective task delegation for seamless operations and comprehensive care.
  • Establish adaptable communication frameworks to address evolving needs.
  • Ensure staff are thoroughly trained and comply with organizational protocols.
  • Lead critical decision-making processes and oversee the volunteer program and facility upkeep.
  • Manage financial resources, engage in field support, and maintain inter-team communication.

Team Development and Management (40%):

  • Promote alignment of staff with ASPCA objectives and foster a sense of belonging within the organization.
  • Supervise Senior Directors and manage a diverse workforce.
  • Hold team members accountable, cultivate a positive team environment, and support resilience among staff.
  • Effectively recruit and onboard new team members.

Collaboration and Additional Duties (20%):

  • Maintain ongoing communication with other Rehabilitation Services teams and collaborate across various departments.
  • Support case planning discussions, efficiently identify solutions, and provide testimony in legal proceedings.
  • Facilitate the Learning Lab team's initiatives and guide the CRC in supporting research endeavors.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.
