Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President to lead our Cruelty Recovery Center (CRC) team. As a key member of our Rehabilitation Services Group, you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and overseeing the daily operations of the CRC. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of animals and contribute to the advancement of animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of professionals in the management of the CRC, ensuring the delivery of high-quality integrated care for animal victims of neglect, abuse, and natural disasters.
  • Develop and implement effective communication systems, protocols, and procedures to ensure smooth and well-coordinated daily operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the CRC's strategic plan aligns with the ASPCA's short- and long-term goals.
  • Manage a substantial budget, overseeing exposure tracking systems, and providing monthly budget projections for the Finance team.
  • Represent the CRC and the ASPCA in various capacities, including media interviews, case planning calls, and testimony in criminal cases.
Requirements
  • Highly effective people- and team-management abilities, with a talent for fostering strong teamwork and achieving mutual goals.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire a team and represent the team and the organization with confidence and professionalism.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading a large team and overseeing a multifaceted program, with a strong background in animal welfare and shelter operations.
  • Experience working in an animal shelter and thorough animal welfare knowledge required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment, working efficiently and calmly, and motivating a team to do the same.
What We Offer

The ASPCA offers a competitive salary range of $160,000-$175,000, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
