Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate leader to serve as the Vice President of the Cruelty Recovery Center (CRC). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CRC, leading a team of dedicated professionals, and ensuring the highest level of animal welfare and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the CRC, including animal care, shelter management, and program development.
  • Lead a team of senior directors, managers, and staff to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest level of animal welfare and care.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance the organization's mission and goals.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and research to inform program development and improvement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as animal science, business administration, or public administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal welfare, shelter management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leadership, program development, and team management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience with budget management, resource allocation, and personnel supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CAWA designation or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a shelter or animal welfare organization.
  • Knowledge of animal behavior, welfare, and enrichment principles.
  • Experience with program evaluation, research, and data analysis.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
