Job Title: Vice President, Cruelty Recovery Center

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for animal welfare? Do you have experience managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a Vice President to lead our Cruelty Recovery Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of over 50 staff members, including direct reports and contingent workers, to provide high-quality care for animals rescued in ASPCA national cruelty cases and disaster responses.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve animal welfare outcomes, including program development, budget management, and team leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure they have the resources and training needed to excel in their roles.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and implement new ideas and approaches to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in animal welfare or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
