Job Title: Vice President, Cruelty Recovery Center

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for animal welfare? Do you have experience managing a large team and overseeing a multifaceted program? We are seeking a Vice President, Cruelty Recovery Center to join our team at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

Job Summary:

The Vice President, Cruelty Recovery Center will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated professionals in the care and rehabilitation of animals rescued from cruelty cases and natural disasters. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage a complex budget and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of professionals in the care and rehabilitation of animals rescued from cruelty cases and natural disasters
  • Manage a complex budget and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of animal care and welfare
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in animal welfare and rehabilitation
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience leading a large team and overseeing a multifaceted program
  • 5+ years of experience managing a substantial, complex budget
  • Experience working as a leader in an animal shelter and thorough animal welfare knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a complex budget and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in animal welfare and rehabilitation
