Position Overview

The NBCUniversal Bay Area Ad Sales Local team is in search of a motivated Sales Planner to support our multi-platform advertising initiatives. This role is integral to the day-to-day management of projects and accounts, focusing on both pre-sale and post-sale processes. As part of a dynamic Local Ad Sales team, you will contribute to the success of one of the foremost media and entertainment companies globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales marketing team to gather competitive research data for Account Executive presentations.
  • Coordinate with clients and the sales team to collect necessary assets once sales information is confirmed.
  • Compile all proof of delivery and screenshots for non-linear advertising campaigns.
  • Oversee campaign analytics, gathering metrics and post-campaign reports to provide insights for future improvements and upsell opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Campaign Specialist to deliver data and analytics for non-linear campaign components.
  • Assist Digital Campaign Managers and the Digital Sales Director with monthly billing and reconciliation tasks.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and the latest strategies in digital marketing.
  • Perform thorough competitor analysis to uncover strategic gaps that NBCUniversal can leverage.
  • Organize and coordinate the development of innovative marketing and social media campaigns driven by data.
  • Facilitate collaboration among departments (marketing, content, and sales) for specific campaigns and marketing projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the advertising community to ensure campaign objectives are met.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in media planning or client service roles.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Exhibit strong project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, and macros) for data analysis.
  • Experience in the digital media industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit a proactive and independent work ethic while being a team player.
  • Maintain a high-energy and collaborative mindset.
